API Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MCSDMarkets REST API (the "Service"). By purchasing an API Key, registering an account, or accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

    Note: The MCSDMarkets Minecraft plugin is open-source software; however, these Terms apply
    specifically to the proprietary backend API and data services provided by Trenton Christofferson/ThedasMC.

1. API License & Usage

Free Tier: Limited to the number of requests specified on our pricing page. Use is intended for small servers or personal testing.
Paid Tiers: Access is granted based on the specific subscription level. Features such as historical price data and higher rate limits are reserved for paid subscribers.
Key Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key. Any actions taken using your key are your responsibility.

2. Prohibited Conduct

To ensure stability for all users, you agree not to:

Circumvent rate limits by creating multiple free accounts (Sybil attacks).
Resell, sublicense, or share your API Key with other server owners.
Attempt to scrape or download the entire database via automated "crawling."
Use the Service in any way that violates the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA).

3. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the API at any time, without prior notice, for reasons including but not limited to:

Violation of these Terms.
Usage patterns that negatively impact API performance for others.
Non-payment or successful payment disputes (chargebacks).

4. Payments and Billing

Subscriptions: Paid tiers are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
Refunds: Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable due to the immediate delivery of digital data access.
Changes: We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice via email or a site announcement.

5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS." We do not guarantee 100% uptime or the absolute accuracy of market data. Trenton Christofferson/ThedasMC shall not be held liable for any in-game economic crashes, loss of player data, or loss of revenue resulting from the use or unavailability of the API.
